Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Wallpaper - Offroadtb.com

Discussion of photos, video, cameras, and post-processing.

I put this in Photography and Video. If someone thinks it should go elsewhere just move it.

Pictures uploaded to this topic are to be used as desktop wallpaper for members of this forum. By posting your pic, you are giving your approval.

Someone who's able to generate something like the following, would need to volunteer to create.

http://www.expeditionportal.com/latest-news/2407-wallpaper-october.html

We create a voting thread for the next three months worth of wallpaper images. The person creating the wallpaper would have final veto on pictures if resolution does not work.

Calendar wallpaper could be made available on the offroadtb.com website. Images would be branded with the website name and potentially member name.

If someone is looking for a calendar picture like the one that Brent linked, let me know.

There is a script for the free image editor "The Gimp" that makes rendering calendars pretty simple. Just give me a link to the hi-res photo and an idea of how you would like the calendar, and I can probably do it.

The Gimp - http://www.gimp.org/ (available for Linux, Mac, and Windows)

And if they should be watermarked with the "offroadtb.com" logo - that can be done too. If James or someone else has a hi-res or vector graphics (like .svg) version of the logo, even better.

I am not to sure the work involved here is necessary. I think most that use the pictures on this site for a screen saver just save them to a folder on their computer and the screen saver runs those images.

The other thought I had was for the high res calendar photos be made into something like the expo calendars. But if no one else is interested...I understand.

I like the concept of this thread. I would not use someone elses picture as a wallpaper unless I had there permission. This thread kinda gives that permission!

Glad ya'll are resurrecting this thread.

Josh, your pics are awesome! That front bumper looks really similar to AlekG's from back in the day. I like it. Who made it?!

It's an Iron Cross originally made for a Silverado, I believe.

Thanks trail x, It is an iron cross brand, made for an 05-13 Tacoma. I modified it to fit the tb.

Well, it looks great. I think you need to make a build thread for that truck of yours! I want to know more!

Hope we can meet during a TECORE trip later this year.

Thanks. I will get a build thread together after I get my rear bumper finished. I think I’m still a few post away from being able to do one.

The limit is 10 posts. You're good, you just unfortunately have to start your build in the mall rated section. In our attempt to prompt people to submit trail reports, we require "proof" of trail riding in order to get your "trail rank" and build thread moved into different sections.
