Got stuck in water/mud.... water in transmission.

Well I was going through some puddles 1.5ft deep with the kids splashing water and mud everywhere then hit a hole that was almost 4ft deep. I got stuck water to middle of and no way to move for about 4.5 minutes we sat there while the floor filled with water. Semi truck had to pull me out. Made it home checked all fluids oil is fine. Transmission was a pink milkshake .

I just need to know the steps to clean that crap out I bought 20 quarts of tranny fluid and have draind the 4l60e 2 times (4 quarts drive a bit then drain each time). Now trying anything to save the tranny am I pissing in the wind or should I keep doing what I'm doing and drive till she goes?

Also bought diff fluid can I use that in my transfer case Also?

Give it a really good flush and you'll probably be fine. Keep keen attention on the shifts, if it starts feeling funny in the least bit, check the fluid and maybe flush it again. Be sure to put a new filter in there.

Transfer case takes a special AutoTrak II fluid, do not use differential oil.

I watched a lot of that guys videos, didn't even look at the transmission one till you posted it. I went from a redish brown to a clearish red and that's after 20 quarts. I plan on doing it again till its clear but cash is tight right now. Also gonna change the diff fluid tomorrow.I'm gonna look into raising the vent tubes also.
I bought diff lube can I use that in the t case also?

So for my differential plugs I'm gonna use a 10mm hex head bolt and 2 nuts to remove them has anyone tried this?

That should work, I've never tried it though. Perks of being a sparky, I always have the right size Allen.
