I think its damn close if it is not. I got it from a GMT member a year or two ago after he tried it for a week and it was not wife approved. It is a 3 inch model.

I gotta do something with mine sometime, the gasket is all gacked up so it sounds like crap. Plus I noticed when I was under it last weekend what's left of the tailpipe got smashed nearly flat by the panhard bar at some point.

I think I've finally decided to keep the bumper cover off lol. It keeps flopping all over the place since its so beat up. My bumper reinforcement was all rusty and ugly under there so I took it off and worked on it with some aircraft remover and a wire brush before spraying on 3 coats of a can of rustoleum truck bed liner.

After the spring snow storms have turned our road to slush and I've spent the last two mornings slipping and sliding up a big hill while be passed by Subaru's, I decided it's time for new tires. Hit up discount tires and left with cooper ATP's.

Yeah, I was hoping to make it through the Spring until I could afford spacers and then get larger tires, but we just couldn't wait and longer so I got the largest we can fit on stock. The difference is night and day, on the drive home in 2 wheel drive I only slipped once where as I used to spin and slide around every switch back. Feels weird that the only thing on my TB that is clean is the tires.

Got pulled over by a sheriff right when I got on the turnpike yesterday for "No visible front license plate" which is funny because my front license plate was behind my seat... So I actually put the license plate on the dash as he was pulling me over lol. Got a written warning, so I just zip tied the license plate behind my grille... It's right in front of my transmisson oil cooler, but as long as It still cools the tranny fluid, its going to stay there.

Also had my first long trip consistently going 70+ (About 30 miles to Portland and back) since I put on the tires and the mpg wasn't great, but it didn't go below 14mpg (actually got it up to 15 on the way back) and the driving was very smooth. The hills are what kills it, so I was dropping it down to 3 gear manually (which I hope isn't bad for the tranny) and it seemed to help keep speed going up hills while also helping the mpg.

I installed some LED lights behind the grill this morning; a pair of Auxbeams and a Kawell surface mount. The Auxbeams are spec'd at 1800 lumens each and the Kawell should be 1200 lumens, all spot beams. Can't wait for dark to see how well they project!

I am interested to hear how well it cools in the middle of summer wih that plate there. These I6 transmissions really like to run hot. I've considered even getting rid of my Hella Rallyes just to try to improve cooling. I tried it once and it didn't seem to make much of an improvement though... hopefully you'll be fine.

Yeah if it starts to not cool as well I'll move it, but I didn't see a change driving around with it today. I guess the real test will be when its starts to get hot out in Maine, there's been a few hot days, but we also got three inches of snow last week... Haha

James, maybe this time you can have all the exhaust manifolds break off in the head! It'll be awesome!

I've read some positive things about the doorman piece, may be something to look at... don't remember if that's the one you currently have
