it's apparently a fairly well known issue, but a lot of sellers don't mention filters in the lights so it's hit or miss, apparently some of the cheaper lights have filters and some of the mid priced ones don't (and vice versa), so it doesn't even seem to be a price point issue. I've stumbled across quite a few threads on pirate about the issue and they frequently mention it's related to the strength of the radio signal. Apparently stronger signals are fine and then with less strong signals you get the interference.
Thanks for the great info v7guy!! I did notice that some stronger stations still came it. It doesn't create an added noise or buzz, it's almost like it just decreases the range of the antenna. For that reason, I think I'll live with it. If it created a buzz/hum on every station, I might consider other lights. But for me, this will work.
