Not really offroad or tb related, BUT I set my subwoofer on fire today. So that was fun

Looking for new subs? I have a set of 12" Kenwood's in an enclosure I was just about to put up for sale.

It actually still works haha... but I just bought a JL w6 and an alpine PDX-V9 5-channel amp on the way to replace my sub and amps so I can upgrade my whole system. Thanks though!

Well I cleaned out the back end to start pulling up the carpet. Can't decide if I should leave it up front or pull it all out...

I've had the rear quarters exposed for about a month now (it's well known but still...EVERYONE should pull those flimsy plastic panels, mine were torn up from scrapping and working in my ext but there is such a crazy amount of room behind them.) Eventually plan on removing the rear air in the passenger fender and tucking all the wiring along the floors in the corners and relocate the fuse block and bcm from the second row seats. Once I get it further along all the unnecessary electronics will be removed but that's for another much warmer day... 40 degrees is warm for now in NY but still a bit chilly to be out in the wind haha

SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES. Might put my amp in a similar place you did, but make a wooden platform for the amp the sit on and make a wooden cover and put some fans in to keep it cool. My sub will have to stay in the middle of the trunk though, so less room for activities for me.

I did the same exact thing a couple months ago. How did you end up mounting your box to the plastic?

Take out the cover the the compartment on the passenger side. I took a 7 inch piece of 3/8 all thread put a nut and washer and lock on each side. Then I drilled a hole in the box and secured it with a nut lock washer washer and rubber washer.

SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES. Might put my amp in a similar place you did, but make a wooden platform for the amp the sit on and make a wooden cover and put some fans in to keep it cool. My sub will have to stay in the middle of the trunk though, so less room for activities for me.

I used steel spacers on mine so I could tuck the wires underneath. You shouldn't need a fan on your amp mine never gets hot to the touch.

So i also added blue led strips and removed the stock kicker panel lighting. Also mounted a 20 inch led light bar to my bull bar and instead of drilling into my dash I decided to get a kawell harness with a remote control.

Its not so much the heating up of the amp that I'm worried about. It's more just airflow. The heat sink won't work as well if theres no air flow. I could even cut slots on either side, but I'd rather have two fans (one pushing air in and one pulling air out) to keep it cool. Just my personal preference

Bought some new switches for my fog lights and lightbar. Made some holes with a 5/8 paddle bit and bam, cleaned right up. Wasn't really that easy, but no longer than an hour to install them and hide all the wires. Here's some pics:
