Drivers side cv shaft seal tore today! Looks like I get to fix that tomorrow.
Also bought another spare cv shaft one for the passenger side, and will be ordering a new 4wd disco and replace that soon.... Just throwing money around lol.

I upgraded the xmsn cooler today and added an inline thermostat...
first test drive was a fail. one of my connections blew and sprayed all of my fluid out... I was barely able to make it into my driveway. I'm too tired and pissed off to fix it tonight. I'll leave that for the morning.
Also, cleaned out about 4 lbs worth of mud and leaves from in between the radiator cores. I'm sure that shit was hindering my cooling ability.

I'm in the middle of a not-so-offroad-related LED project. Converting all the lights on all switches, buttons, knobs, panels, and gauges to red LEDs. Red is much friendlier on the eyes at night, plus it looks super sick. Half of my interior bulbs were burnt out anyway so it was time to fix it up. Also putting some in the footwells and other places throughout for accent lighting since I have 15 feet of LED strip leftover. I'll post pics soon enough!

Replaced the cv shaft this morning and guess what was the culprit of the shaking, lol. Also found out the tailgate lock actuator isn't locking the tailgate, so I got the whole lock assembly ordered. Got the 4wd disconnect ordered and had bought another cv shaft for the passenger side, will be replacing both as soon as the 4wd disconnect comes in.

Yup. I apparently didn't understand correctly how they work and upgraded to a 3,800 stall. I burnt a brand new transmission rebuild in one wheeling weekend. I now have a 1,200 stall and a secondary cooler and do not see any excessive heat.

The stock TBSS torque converter is about a 1900 rpm stall. I'm running a Yank 3200 stall without issues. I'm sure it's making some heat. The way it's clutched, you have to power brake it to get it to feel different than stock. It's known as a "tight" converter because of the way it performs under low torque conditions.

I had to the change out my purge valve solenoid. It had kind of idled rough at startup for awhile but I hadn't thought much of it and never got a check engine light. Well over the weekend I was pulling into a packing spot and it just died. But started right back up find. I final got a P0496 code.
After watching a few Utube videos it looked like a peice of cake to switch out from the underside. Well once I got under mind I figured out all of the videos much had been switching them out on a 2wd decause on mine the front diff and skid plate was in the was and there was no way of even touching it from the bottom. So I ended up doing it blind from the engine compartment. It was t really to bad at all.

Finally got it all working. Got the upgraded xmsn cooler and the thermostat all nice and perty-like. Test drive last night was a failure. Test drive today was spectacular. My xmsn was up to operating temperature with just a couple laps around the block (about 5 minutes of driving). I'll get on the highway tomorrow to see if it keeps the temps down in OD

Well... it's not really clean... remember how I said my first test drive was a failure? That frame has a nice, liberal coating of tranny fluid.
You too can have a frame that clean! Just disconnect one of your tranny lines and go for a drive! Self-cleaning!!!
