I've been researching here and other forums for a while now after buying my 2008 TB in October. Just realized I haven't done an intro thread. Anyway, picked up my Trailblazer as a trade from a 2011 Silverado 3500hd. Hated to get rid of it, but finances just weren't working the way they needed to...anyway picked this up with 119k miles. 4wd, 4.2l with 3.42 open diff. Very basic but it's all I needed and a good base. Needed something to pull my 18' wellcraft and occasionally play in the dirt and on the beach.

Plans:

Install shift kit to fix tc lockup issue
PML pan
Gauges
PCMFORLESS tune
MDB bumpers and skids
4.10 front and rear diffs from an SS
3"MARKMC lift
New wheels with 285 tire

Welcome, sounds like a decent rig to go wheeling in!

I might suggest the Dorman pan as a lower cost alternative, I have one on my TB and one on my GMC Sierra as well, all I really wanted was the drain plug.

Yeah, I looked at that pan but I want the added volume and like that it already has the temp sensor bung since this will be used for a lot of towing and getting back to campsites loaded down so any extra I can add should help.

I have the dorman pan also, liked it so much I bought one for my Suburban as well.
I use a scangauge II to read tranny temps, mpg, mph etc
