Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Nice King.

Why does everyone take pictures of there new lights looking at them for the most part? It really does nothing to show the light output or light coverage as seen from inside the vehicle.

I take a pic from inside and outside, but they are misleading.

I did HIR2 bulbs in my TB and in my 95 GMC and it made a dramatic difference. In pics, they just look like lights lol.

To me, they aren't nearly as telling as seeing it in person

Freshly painted rims, freshly painted grille, new fuel pressure regulator, and best of all...
NEW TIRES!
Ordered a set of BDS Fox2.0 gas shocks for the rear because the bushings on my old white body hydraulic ones are toast, and these have about 80-90k miles on them. About time for a new set.

I dunno, maybe because it's practically impossible to accurately capture the light output without seriously expensive equipment...

Maybe that's it?

You know how bright regular headlights are from meeting them on the highway and I stated in my build thread that I can see from telephone poles to telephone poles at night (when there are telephone poles on each side of the road). I don't know about you, but being able to see 20 yards off each side of the road at night with the spots outshining the brights distance-wise, is pretty awesome.

I mean yeah, they aren't KC Daylighters, but they aren't pencil beams like the KCs are either.

What I guess I'm saying is, they're worth the $40 a piece that they cost...

Oh boy, don't compare your headlights to KC Daylighters... KCs are pretty much bottom of the barrel products that found some sort of cult following among rednecks in the 80s.

Engine light gone! Heard one of the most manly clicks of my life when I put that new gas cap on.

Worked on part of what needs to be done for the truck to prepare for the May trip. Awhile back while on a job a customer gave me an old Cobra 19XS Cb radio. It didn't come with a bracket, a mic holder, or a power supply. So I made a power supply and brackets and mounted it up today. I have my antenna on the way and I have access to all the wiring for it one could need. I'll be installing my power inverter later today as well.

My nephews Trailblazer has white face gauges too, and I asked him if he put them in (because he's kind of a tool and not capable of basic mods lol), and he just stuttered and wandered off. Like,I don't care what you spend your money on lol.

So anyway, did you put them in?

My gauge faces are actually silver with blue needles from a Buick, if you're asking about mine. They were a direct swap, I had to add momentary buttons for the DIC function to work though.

Thanks! The steppers in mine went out, plus I wanted the DIC function so this was a win win for me.

Bars are on - having to do a bit of work to fit the base plate with the bumper and skid plate. Still a bit more fabricating on the bars to do.
