Envoy bezel... Cadillac needles. It definitely tightened up the instrument cluster.
Looking to get white L.E.D.s and transparent blue lens/plastic/tape to illuminate numbers and increment marks (while leaving red warning marks red, and the needles and gauge labels bright white; i.e. RPM, speedo, fuel, temp, etc.)... Bought the blue L.E.D.s but will probably muddle the colored marks....

Lots of wrenching.
Took off the brush guard to install Trailblazer tow hooks. Envoys never came with tow hooks from the factory had to get creative. First the bumper cover didn't clear the hooks. Trimmed the bumper. It was still going to be to much of a pain to get a recovery strap in there. Flipped the tow hooks from left to right. Now it's manageable to get a loop in through the bumper cover slit.
Also adjusted the hand brake. It's never worked since I bought the Envoy in April. Found out the brake pads were almost at the wear indicators so a run to the parts store was in order. Once I got everything back together I realized I adjusted the driver side a smidge too tight. It was making lots of noise going down the road. Tore it all back down and readjusted it. It was only a quarter turn too tight. Bah!
Good hand brake, good rear brakes and now I have front recovery points. Ready for the offroad park later this month.

Spent all weekend out in the garage getting ready for the bigger tires. Installed new trans cooler and replaced upper and lower ball joints on the frontend. Trans cooler was straightforward, but ball joints took some effort.
Ended up tearing a couple holes in my driver side CV boot because I didn't have my axle nut to release it from the spindle, but since it was still under warranty I just ran it back to Oreillys and they gave me a new shaft free of charge.
Got all that done, then saw the radiator leak. It's not coming from the actual fins, but from all around the edge where the bottom tank clamps to the metal. Not much I could do so I dumped in some Alumaseal and drove around for a few minutes. Hopefully that will seal it up good enough.

I changed relays 45&46 in the parking lot of my new job after I got a jump from the vice president on my first day of work lol.

Trailered home my replacement. 2002 LS Trailblazer, I pretty much got it for a steel. Needs a transmission (which I have out of my roll over) and the 4x4 switch won't light up, I can't even hear any clicking when I turn the switch. I had to but a battery in it, I will do all new brakes and all the fluids will have to be flushed but for what I paid it's all about

Started to do my brakes when I realized the pads looked new so I flushed the brake fluid and called it good. Then I ran over to DMV for an inspection and a two year tag. It drives good, just doesn't have reverse.

Hey Cory, please tell me there was a wire or something holding the weight of that spindle... looks like the weight of everything is on your brake line. it made me cringe when i saw it

Today I addressed a few issues that I've been having. I pulled the front fascia and bumper off the truck and found a few things that needed attention. A few weeks back, I hit the front end kinda hard into the side of a barditch as I slid down into it in the mud. Since then I've had an annoying flapping noise at highway speeds and my cornering light was loose on the passenger side.
I fixed the flapping by zip-tieing the inner fender well back to the metal bumper. The reason the cornering light was loose was because the plastic mounting block that holds the corner of the bumper to the fender "peg" had broke loose. I expoxied that back to the bumper with "Plastic Weld" by JB Weld.
It's good stuff, just be sure to clamp the pieces together tightly for three hours.
