Robert, that sucker looks like a good candidate for some liberal amounts of dielectric grease.

Cleaned the throttle body. I cleaned it about 4 years ago/50000 miles ago. I'm thinking it might need cleaned more often.

Did some mild stuff over past few days. The new license plate led bolts, but I think I need better to avoid law harassment. Swapped interior led for white from green and am really liking the more upscale look. Flexxed it out on some ramps and am pretty sure the dual exhaust is a go, but the local place told me 425 using my parts including the Magnaflow and tips. somehow he thinks the 75 in parts he quoted will be requiring 350 labor to install. Worth a trip back to the place 75 miles a way that did original for 100 i think. Scheduled the DDM warranty replacement for next Sat morn. Took out and cleaned up the rear DR ABS sensor that seemed to be leaking. May need oring, but hoping the cleanup n lube on the ring seals it up.

I did not think anything i did merited pics but I had to take one of the boy doing his own wrenching on the bike while I worked on the truck.

Sounds like a pretty extreme quote Kyle, I'd be going elsewhere as well.

My cousin is now running my uncles shop about 20 miles away and after dad told me he invested in a bender and does exhaust now, i got an initial quote of about $150, but supposed to run it by him to take a look. Seems much more appropriate to me.

I do love the side pods. My light bar does pretty decent, but would still love to have some legit spots for the sides, instead of just ambient flood. Deer are a PITA here.

Received the new lower control arms and ball joints today. They shipped them loose in cardboard boxes, without even any wadded up paper for padding. One of them had the grease fitting attached, which got bent in shipping. The other had the fitting in a separate package. At least they're cheap to grab another one locally (or possibly just re-use the old one). Will try to get started swapping them on Saturday and see how it goes.

For those that don't know, my trip to Maine started out 8 hours late due to my passenger having issues yesterday morning. We pulled out of town at 8pm, and were sitting in a parking lot in Ohio at 1130pm with a catastrophic failure of a drivers front wheel bearing. The bearings have less than 5k miles on them, so I was not concerned about them. Unfortunately, that is one of the things I didn't bother stocking in my spare parts for the trip because they were so new. The best I can gather, the truck sitting for the better part of a year while I was regearing and overhauling the transmission allowed water to seep into the bearing and rust it out.

My wife was reluctantly kind enough to come to my rescue, leaving the house at midnight after me explaining what I needed and where it was. She arrived at 230am, with a pair of torque converters on the floor of the car. I am not really sure where the disconnect was between my explanation and her understanding, but in hindsight I should have sent her a picture of what I needed and had her send me a picture of what she had.

My passenger rode back with her, got the correct parts, and was back in the parking lot at 6am. At 7am, after reassembly, I decided to wave the white flag. After a failure of a newer part I am struggling with any confidence in the truck. There has been a lot of work done over the last few months and I just couldn't find the time for a shake down run. If so it would have been a different decision, but this time is was better to play it safe and not risk major failure 1k miles away from my garage.

For what it's worth I am still going to get gravel and rock under the truck. We are going to take advantage of the time off to make a shakedown run to our localish offroad park. Taking off tomorrow and home on Saturday night.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
