Lightbar Mounts

I recently made a post about possibly selling light bar mounts. I have some made up and they are now for sale. They mount a 50 CURVED LED light bar to the roof. My original post in the electrical thread has many more details. They are for sale on Ebay, search "trailblazer/gmt360 light bar brackets" if you are interested. Where did you run your wiring. Droll a hole in the roof? Looks good though! I believe this will be my next mod. What is the price on these as well?

Thanks! I put a hole going through my door seal and ran the wire through it and filled it with silicone. I then dove in behind the a-pillar trim peice. My lightbar came with a wiring harness, which I wired to the auxiliary battery terminal under the hood and then ran it inside the truck to connect to the lightbar.

I bought a basic "CREE" branded bar off of ebay. It has to be 50" Curved for the brackets to work. As far as I can tell all lightbars from eBay that are Cree branded are the same lightbar, only sometimes rebranded. I paid about $190 for mine from an eBay page called "omotor". Amazon also sells many lightbars like this. It is a cheap lightbar but is very bright and works good. If you read on my original lightbar forum you'll see that I had to put small pieces of rubber hoses In between a few of the cooling fins on the back of the lightbar to keep it from making noise, but from what I've read online it is a common issue, but was easily fixed.

Thanks for the info! I found your original post not long after I replied here and found a decent bar on Amazon. I also placed an order on your mounts today, hopefully I got that last one that was lingering on EBay. Thanks for the info, looking forward to getting the brackets in hand!

I wonder if these would work on a fullsize as well, since the hood & door lines are basically the same

would be neat to add another hole underneath for limb risers, so it serves double duty

might be a nice selling point too

Are you talking a fullsize as in a tahoe/yukon, or extended trailblazer. I haven't been able to confirm that they work on the extended trailblazer but I see no reason why they wouldn't. And they actually may work on a tahoe/yukon, but I also haven't tested that. What do you mean by limb risers?

Ahh ok that makes sense now, never seen that done before. I may have to try that if you don't mind AA1PR, The brackets should be plenty strong to support the wire pushing off branches.

I've contemplated the risers or making some sort of guard for my bar for those trips during the day where we hit some low hanging spots. Something that would be easily removed, but act as a shield to keep any big stuff from possibly busting the light. It may prove difficult with the curved bar though. I don't run into those areas often, so really probably won't be a problem.

Good deal I hope you like them. Was the packaging good and everything? Can't wait to see it all set up! You could always mount something off of the lightbar bolts on each side to attach the wire to.

Just making a statement on using the bar bolts the threads inside the cheaper bars them selves are not strong

Yes fullsize yukon or tahoe basically I'd buy a set, but would hate to waste $$ if they didnt
