Besides exhaust PCM tune CAI. Does anybody offer cams, bigger throttle body or etc. I want more to the 4200 vortex than what a tune exhaust headers and CAI can do. Also if y'all have experience with such please let me know what your running.

generally speaking, we don't bother. The headers move your torque up the power band, most of the CAI stuff generally filter worse and it can can be an issue in the dust we find ourselves in. There are a decent number of guys that have hotrodded these motors (you'll find em in the link above) but they don't use em like most of us do here.

OK thanks I don't want to hotrod just wanted a little more out of the motor without going crazy. I'll just stick to the tune CAI and exhaust and call it good thanks for the info

A simple tune made a world of difference on mine. The ECU was really reigning in the fun. ALthough right after I did it, we've been hit with about 15" of snow this week, and I kind of miss my stabilitrac and torque limiting lol

Why would your tune affect Stabilitrac? My traction control has always functioned well with my tuning and removal of torque limiting.

My Stabilitrac is just not working correctly, and I don't care enough to fix the ECBM. Combined with the shift kit and firmness changes and the torque limiting being disabled, it get's a little squirrelly in the snow

time for some snow tires or move away from the lakeshore and get closer to GR to run from the lake effect snow lol

It's a checklist generally, you check off the things you want done and they do it. Pretty common to have the torque limiting removed though.

Its a choice. I would remove part or all depending in your intentions.

I guess call and ask? All it really does as far as I know is keep the throttle open on shifts. I could be way wrong though, the only other thing I've ever tuned are Mustangs.

Ok, I did call and ask. (I had to call there today anyway regarding returning my core.)
According to them, the "rev limiter" is left there, because obviously, you're better off not being able to rev your engine higher than say 7,000 or so...wherever it's set from the factory. The speed limiter is generally removed. And, the torque management is not exactly a cut & dry "torque limiter". There are several factors, and they generally take out about 50%-75% of it.

Correct, in EFI LIve, I saw options from 1-4. I just took mine out, although I don't do much WOT shifting, or any really. I'd imagine it might be helpful in mud or a hillclimb.

Me? I have a friend with a pretty narly Duramax, and he has EFIlive, I just bought another license for 125 and went to town. For now I haven't done much besides turn things off and change limiters and shift points. I haven't messed with fuel or timing.

You can buy a mail order tune and a flashscan from a number of places. Or do what seems to be popular here and on GMTnation, buy a pre-tuned ECM from PCM For Less or whoever you like, pay a core charge, and swap it in.
