When my brother got it
:drive: :flex dirty:

Well hello my name is Rick and I just got my new envoy ( new to me) from my brother. It went trough a series of modifications from my brother but now that it's mine I want to take it off road. Mud and sand mostly.

I've been doing some reading and unfortunately I do not have the G80. :( but I'm looking for advice from you guys on what to do. Also I'm aware that it involves more reading but I just wanted to introduce myself and my new off road toy project.

I'll post some pictures in a chronological order to show what the envoy has gone trough.

Hope you guys like it .

No it's not plastidip or rhinoline. It's industrial protective coating. Not as rough as rhinoline but not as soft and paint. It feels sort of like sand able primer. Jet black. I like it because at night it doesn't reflect any light. Only the little thing of the headlights and the reflectors from the back will give it away.. Oh and the exhaust once you start it....

Also today I worked on my headlights. Took me all day. Placed them in the oven for 30 minutes at 280 degrees.
Removed all the factory sealant and put them back together with RTV silicone. Kind of pushed my patience a little far but it was worth it... :excited: hope you guys like it

Now on regards the gear ratio I have no clue Im still a newbie about how to read the glove box sticker. I've been reading and as far as I understood it's an 8" GU6 (3.42) I believe. Here is a pic of the glove box sticker
