Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

I guess it's about time I said Howdy.

I've been a member for about a month without a hello. I'm in D/FW and I use the excuse of mountain biking to have a lifted truck. Gettin' to the trailhead, don'tcha know. I think I'm flashing back to my '95 4Runner SR5 4wd. Ordered it new as you guys would say, "running board delete". Without them, that SR5 looked liked it rolled out of the factory with an aftermarket lift. Exposing huge front and transfer case skid plates. Now, I have an '04 TB LS EXT 2wd. I bought it bone stock in '10 and it didn't look like anyone had so much as sat in the other six seats. Cherry is an understatement. Why else would I buy such a whale with almost no aftermarket possibilities? I did zero research. I assumed you could mess with a TB like any other truck. It do got a frame, don't it? My friends called it "Goldilocks". The folks down at my local off road shop were less than enthused about setting me up. I had no idea the TB was looked upon with such scorn. Imagine mine...a triple whammy - a Trailblazer, and it's a EXT...AND 2wd? You wanna do what to it? HAHAHAHAHA!!!
I immediately put a R/C 2" level kit and 31.6" tires. Better, but not enough.
No wonder so many TBE owners are DIYers.
Now, I'm ready to do it the way I should have in '10. (3" Liftmeister, stiff springs, ARCAs. (Will someone PLEASE make a FCOS for less than $1100/pr.?)
When I figure out how to post a build, you can see what Goldie looks like today.

There's probably other options you could use since you don't have to worry about a CV shaft being in the way of the shock. It would obviously be a custom job. Just throwing it out there. Welcome aboard.

This is the only forum I can post in. I want to post a build thread w/pics. Can't find post option in build thread forum. Should I have directed this to an administrator?

You need to get a few more posts under your belt before you can post a build thread. The only one that will allow you to post a build thread will be mall rated until you rank higher and get moved into the other thread.
