Help with adapter/wheel fitment

I recently acquired a set of eagle alloy 102's with a 108mm bore and I have Marks 6x5.5 adapters. The adapters seem to have the same hub centric lip as the truck, which I've read is 77.8mm? Am I correct when I assume that Marks adapters are also 77.8mm and therefore could go ahead and get a set of hub rings (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hub-Centric-Ring ... mtr&_uhb=1) to center the wheel? Or can I just use lug centric lug nuts to center the rim on the adapter and forgo the hub rings altogether?

Another thing I'm not quite sure if I understand is this...

The eagle alloys have push through center caps (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/STAINLESS-STEEL- ... mtr&_uhb=1), how would that work with a hub centric set up? Is the inside of the center cap actually 108mm and the hub lip (or hub ring in this case) fits inside of the cap?

Edit: I see now that the OD of the push through cap is 4.26in and the ID is 4.25in(108mm) so the hub centric lip will sit inside the cap.

The hub rings that came with my 6x5.5 wheels fit perfectly on marks adapters. They are the 77.8mm

I'd forgo the adapter rings for now. If you have vibrations, then maybe get them to help mitigate the issue.

Thanks for the info on the bore size Cody. And thanks for the opinnion James, I was more worried about if the lugs that Mark uses would take the sheer force of the trucks weight or if I was setting up a dangerous situation without the hub ring installed.

Marc's wheel adapters will hold the sheer force. I am not using hub centric and have wheeled several times on 35's with no issues.

The studs themselves don't actually take any shear load from a properly mounted wheel.

All of the vertical loading is supposed to be transferred through the clamp face of the wheel, via friction. Thus why studs shear when you don't torque down your lug nuts.

One last question....

The rims came with a set of 275 60 R17's. I didn't see that size listed on the tire size chart but a similar size is listed. You guys think my tires will fit. I haven't added the lifts yet so suspension is stock. Thanks guys

That's a 30" tire. Should be fine, might rub a touch in the back without a suspension lift and with wheel adapters. You can run that size without adapters.

I went down to put on the new to me rims and tires and to my dismay, a problem...


I took off the first tire and installed Marks wheel adapter using the stock lug nuts. Then I put on the tire and attempted to put on one of the lug nuts that came with Marks adapters and they didn't fit the stud. Anyone else have this problem? I'll just go and get some new lug nuts but Its kinda shitty that I have to.

our stock studs are 12MM, I think the adapters can have either 12 or 14MM studs.
If you got them from Mark, let him know, he seems to be good at working with customers.

All the adapters i sell come with special 12mm self centering lug nuts for mounting the adapters to the hub, not the wheel to the adapter which has 14mm studs.
Adapters dont come with 14mm nuts cus there are a gazillion types of nuts for wheels in 6x5.5

Finally got around to grabbing some lug nuts and mounting up the new to me rims and tires. The thing has a hot wheels look to it now lol, the rims are very wide and stick out side the fenders quite a ways. They did infact rub a little on the back as James said they would but it only seems to happen when I'm turning hard while backing up. I'll try to post up a picture later on, still no lifts installed but at least its a start.
