Its been painted... its currently silver. I also cut the head of the spider off to help clear panhard bar..
Tail light guards are long gone.

Yes it is, I have mine off my 8.6 off my 8.0. It's a 10 bolt

The 8.0 and the 8.6 have the same bolt patterns, but the cover is deeper on the 8.6 to accommodate the larger diameter ring gear. Thus the rock protector can fit on both diffs, but only the 8.6 cover can go on both the 8.6 or the 8.0 while the 8.0 cover is limited to the 8.0 due to its depth.
I verified this during my diff swap as my new diff cover was a bit rusty.
