Hey guys, I know I have a bad wheel bearing up front on the drivers side.
I have spent some time on the net and found some different prices and brands. Please speak up if you have an input regarding the prices I found ie. you know where to get it cheaper.....I would also like to hear your reviews on the product as well. Why you would argue for and against it.

Timken is the lowest price of the four vendors sold by Rockauto, and you can trust them. Avoid AT ALL COSTS the under $100 vendors on Ebay. Cheap Chinese stuff that sometimes doesn't last a year. Last one I put in was a recycled one with 35K miles or so, and it's been fine. Junkyard was about $35 or $50. I forget.

i just purchased a set from car parts ware house. they coast me 65 a peice bolter right up with no problems took about a hour once i found the right tools. they have been in use for 2 weeks no problems. even being used in two 25+ inch snow storms so they hold up fine. take a look see if it will work for ur application.

is the cheaper bearing i listed above the same as the chines? I am short on funds and the cheap one does have an unlimited mile warranty for a year, so if i bust it I get a new one for free.

I went with the highest quality one I could find - AC Delco... wheel bearings are no place to skimp.

Ya I know that the cheap stuff is usually not the best to go with. But with the replacement warranty it might be a decent buy for me while cash is tight. but then again I hate putting crappy parts on my truck.
Ill make it work one way or the other.
Funny thing was, even my shop rate at the dealer is $300+ !!! They sell the bearing to the public for around $400+
SO i guess I will be happy as long as I dont have to pay that much for a hub and bearing hahahaha.

Gotta factor in that cost of repair if you break down on one of your trips down south, even with a part warrantee it won't cover any labor or towing cost!...

Ok , well after slapping my self a few times repeating to my self my old saying "dont buy crap parts for your truck".,..... I have decided to go with the nicer Timken bearing and hub. Only problem there is the place I am gona order it from does not ship to canada....a problem I am all to familiar with. So i will have to pay the $6 to ship it to my place in LA, then have it shipped up here.
While taking care of the wheel bearing, I may have to take a look into some new pads for the front brakes too.
