More information would be helpful.
Often the transfer case light may blink, but you often still have power transfer to the ground, at least through the rear wheels.
Did you try to go into 4HI, or 4LO? That makes a difference.
If you tried to go into 4HI, you should still have power to the rear wheels regardless. If you tried to go into 4LO, it's possible that your transfer case is stuck in neutral. But more likely -if you were trying to go into 4LO, you have to put your transmission into the neutral before the transfer case will switch ranges - otherwise it will just blink at you.
Come back with more information and we can hopefully help you our of your situation.

So, check to make sure all the plugs in the transfercase are plugged in, the wire are out of the way and undamaged. Outside of that, I got nothing. Maybe this will be helpful.

That's a situation that you should work on with training, reading, and more reading. About automotive systems and electrical theory. Else for the rest of your life it's gonna cost ya. And you'll be at the tender mercy of strangers who went to the trouble of getting that training. From relatives or buddies or the library or Youtube videos. [Dad mode on] Once you have a sense of curiosity instilled in you, or discover it naturally, you'll realize that NOBODY can do anything you can't do except they have more training, experience, special tool, or the shop manual.joedarr33 wrote:I can replace stuff but i cannot diagnose anything to save my life.
JamesDowning wrote:First of all, what exactly is the lights on the 4WD switch doing. Especially, where is the light in relation to the knob being turned. Sometimes it will stay blinking on one mode, or it will follow the knob. Which light is it blinking on? Is there a lighted red N lit on the switch?
Second, do you hear any of the whines of the two electric motors that spool at various stages of the TC modes? For instance, when switching from 2WD to 4WD, you should hear two electric motors spool up for a short period. There is one lower pitch motor nearly under the driver seat that makes a very fast change. There is also a higher pitch motor that spools for 1-2 seconds in the passenger side wheel well. Check to see if you hear both of those motors spool (you will either need a second person, or turn the engine off when you do this).
Wallace, there is no real way to unbolt the shift motor and operate it manually. The shaft that is turned by the shift motor requires the motor assembly's brake to keep it from drifting out of gear selection. I wouldn't drive it without the motor attached to the case.
