PANHARD BAR DROP BRACKETS!

My spare is not stock, I am carrying a 265/75-16 so it is part of the normal tire rotation. I'm thinking of cutting the piece off of the spare tire bracket and letting the spare tire rest on the strut support when it is in the lower hole. Maybe I should just go back to a stock spare...

First off, LOVE this bracket. Even with Z71 springs AND lift blocks, my panhard bar is almost at stock location. No more "swing" when bouncing the rear end.
Second, I mounted the support bar to the middle hole. This seemed more logical to me because it's the stock location for the support bracket and also keeps the panhard bar the closest to being aligned vertically to it's stock location. For those that located it in the bottom hole, did this push your panhard bar more to the driver side due to the bracket now being more at an angle? Just wondering if this now creates an offset in the other direction.

The reason the instructions say to lower the support strut to the bottom hole is because that's where the work is done. I've had people test it both ways without complaints. I do strongly urge anyone who intends to wheel the truck hard to lower to the lower point with the strut support. It won't change the alignment at all. The bolt by the shock sets the bracket and angle. The strut just supports. You have to loosen the bolt at the other end several turns to get the play needed to get it down there.

I need someone to come install my bracket for me. I don't trust Eric, every time I see him he runs off with parts of the truck. Sway bars, hi-lift parts....
