My name is Eric, new to Offroad TB, but many years of offroad experience, engineer by trade, and many years mentoring with a master craftsman welding expert. I did all my learning by experience first (Air Force vet), then went to school for mechanical engineering, then metallurgical engineering. Six sigma black belt for process optimization, and lab metallurgist for Boeing, specializing in failure analyses. I love to make my own design when I can't find what I am looking for in the OEM or aftermarket. I have a 2004 LS Trailblazer that I have owned since new, and just in the last year or so I have started modifying it for more offroad capability. I replaced all the coils with new GM springs and shocks with Bilstein 4600s, BDS coil spacers, Yoko 33in tires. Plan for 4.56 gears (and 8.6in rear end), MDB front bumper, and making my own control arms, track bar, rock sliders, and rear bumper. Glad I found a group of guys that have been modifying these for some time.
Cheers!
Eric
