I'm Matt I'm new to the site and i want to learn more about my 2007 Trailblazer LT 4x4 w/G80 and how to make it more trail capable... I want it to be really capable. A lot of trails around where I live and I don't want anything to stop me lol.. I've recently purchased Mark MCs 3" suspension lift kit along with his 1.5" wheel spacers.. I have 285/70r17 BF Goodrich All-Terrain KOs to put on when my lift comes in the mail..

Where are you from? If you fill out your location that would help everyone. I believe you are going to need to do a body lift as well to put the tires you selected, or a lot of cutting.

Pics and upgrades of our rigs are located in our build threads, quite a few of us have them in our signatures.

Welcome to the site.

Sounds good! "really capable" is both a matter of opinion and a matter of terrain. I see your location but have no experience in the area. What conditions do you expect to encounter? sand? mud? rock? hills?

Erik it's mostly rock and some sand and TONS of mountain trails... Its right outside of Death Valley so its extremely hot at times.. I'm surrounded by desert terrain...

Is there anyone in the SoCal area??

Welcome, the Roadie is in your geographic next of the woods sorta.

Get a transcooler before you do your gears, and read our advice about that.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

You're one of the lucky ones! Roadie has raised many offroaders. Myself being his most recent... Just hope I didn't burn him out!
SoCal has some of the best offroading I've done. Anza Borrego is a gold mine of trails. (just avoid the Pinyon Squeeze)

Where is Anza Borrego Michael? Yeah I grew up riding dirt bikes all over in So Cal, but now that I have a daughter in this world I need to be more careful so I wanna get into the 4x4 game.... The right way lol and you guys are my ticket to doing this the right way

Roadie will probably be ashamed of me being so brief about it, but it's about half million acres of desert awesomeness with over 500 miles of trails. Everything from smooth dirt roads (boring) to 'fire-breathing rock crawling' trails. Plenty of exploring to do! The town of Borrego Springs is pretty neat, too.
