New from San Diego CAL

New members: please introduce yourself here.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and just spent the last couple hours looking at some the member's vehicle build posts. I was so impressed that I figured I'd join and introduce myself. I am actually based in Chula Vista, CA just 9 miles south of San Diego, CA. I recently bought a 2003 trailblazer ( 4.2 with auto trans 4wd)(non G80) that I plan on lifting it 2.5" to 3". I would like to do some minor engine and transmission mods. The paint is a little on the rough side but it will make a great daily driver and weekend trail rider. I had a Cherokee classic that I built up and used to off-road on some of the trails in the mountains in the desert near the border. I sold the jeep to a neighbor and decided to try a trailblazer. Good to meet you all! I noticed there are some members in my area, it would be great to make contact, for some tech/build info and possibly go on some off-road runs or trail rides. I get out to El Paso, Texas also, sometimes twice a year if there are some members out there as well.

Welcome aboard, there's a lot of good info here, especially in the stickies (and as you discovered, the build threads).
If you add your location in your profile it'll help people find you by location and it sometimes makes it a bit easier to set up trips.
I think you'll find the platform to be pretty capable despite its few quirks.

Looks like Roadie has another protege!
Not sure if he'll have the energy for it after mentoring me!
