Welcome. It's very possible to run 30-33 inch tires on your stock wheels. Most people don't because of the value of those wheels and the additional cost of tires on 20" wheels. I spent less on my 35" tires with brand new wheels than I would have on 35" tires for my 20" SS wheels.
I found using a bumper kit from MDB fabrication was the way to go. The finished product is excellet.
There is a lot of information on this Forum. There are only a couple differences between lifting an SS and a regular Trailbalzer.
I think most people here would advice to research, plan, then modify. It took me about a year before I started buying parts.

All depends on your mission. What kind of trails you have access to and if you've run them on a different vehicle you want to emulate. What your tolerance level is for scratches and dents. What your need is for retained resale value. That sort of stuff. Define your intended mission, and use that to inform your choices of materials and mods.

There was another guy, who lives somewhere near me, who came on here and said he was going to lift his. Haven't heard a peep from him since.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

Was a lifted SS in Indiana a few years ago. He lived around the corner from me. Had issues with alignment I tried to help with. Not a lift related issue.

Good luck with your project.

I'm posting here because he PM'd me that he's installed his suspension lift. DAYS ago, and he didn't send me pics!!!! :viking:

So, maybe with this thread renewed, we will find the 3rd known lifted SS. (of coarse the first one had the lift taken back off it)

:no pics:

Welcome, from another newbie, and ugly duckling. I just installed Z71 springs. I do not have the part#, but it gave me a nice lift on the back. I had airbags and it we really easy to pull them out and install the springs.
