D44F/D60R, or a pair of D60s... Depends on what kind of rubber you're running, and what you're planning on doing... Depends on your driving style, as well... I could probably make a D44R/D30F combo live, but I drive with emphasis on being easy on equipment... Guys on Pirate break 35 spline Cromo outers on D60Fs, with 4L Jeeps that have 100 less HP than we have, and weigh less... A lot of those guys who do that, drive their equipment with complete disregard for its life, like they're TRYING to break it...
If you go with a D44 front, make sure it's out of a 3/4 ton, because the outers will be D44 outers (as opposed to the 1/2 ton D44s that are basically D30 outers), and it'll have thicker tubes...
