Nice to see a recent update that the rig is still running. I've been reading your build lately and thinking I will soon need to build a more family friendly wheeler instead of the my 92 rcsb. I'd like to swap the 78 D60 and 10.25 rear stearling with 5.38 gears, 38.5x15 boggers, np 241 tcase, 52" front and 63" rear spring under a more roomier rig. Since the GF's daily is a 05 trailblazer itd be great to keep the parts the same.
In your first post you showed a Saginaw GM steering gear box, was there just no way to mount on the inside of the frame rail? I've got a few laying around and one set up for hydro assist, be nice to reuse.
How about brakes. Are you still running the factory master cylinder pushing the 1 ton brakes?
Do you think there would be any room for 63" rear springs in the rear?
Without the doubler tcase but with 5.38 gears how do you think the 4.2 would handle the 38" boggers?
If you were to do it again would you have picked a different starting point then the trailblazer, like a S10 blazer or similar? Or anything you would have done differently?
