Differential and Transfer Case Vent/Breather Relocation

G80, GU6, GT4, GT5, WTF? This section is for gearing and driveline stuff.

If I may, I'd recommend not putting your breathers there. Mainly cause there is a large gap between the hood and the body....water may run down and soak your filters when the vehicle is parked, maybe even while driving through heavy rain. It might be something for you to keep an eye on.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I noticed that when I put the hood down after I was done Zero, haven't come up with a fix yet. Might just get something to seal it a bit or put a lid over the filters so water runs out over the side of them. Have to think about it. Thanks for the input. Next step is to try and wiggle my fat hand down to get hold of the transmission breather.

I like that bracket idea, very nice! But I think a shield would be fine to keep any water at bay from getting to the filters.

nah, the pictures are gone, just went outside and took these pics for ya. this is what I did with the front and rear diff. then I jammed the stock cap in the tube. the transmission tube is awful high, so I didn't bother with it. if water gets this high I've got a lot of other problems to worry about first.

You can get to it through the drivers ice wheel well not to far up from the full plug.
