I was just wondering if anyone had thought about putting a spotlight (or spotlights)on their ride. Kind of like a cop spotlight or the ones that are on Jeeps. I searched it and only got one result which took me to a guy's build thread and it said that it was a future mod of his so I shot him a PM. Like this.
What would they be used for? Typically the higher the light the better the work, but since the jeeps have a removeable top, this becomes an alternative.
Are you looking for the fixed forward type or the swivel type, like this one?

Those use to be available for our platform. I don't know if they still are. I remember the write-up on the OS that gave the part numbers and everything.
When I get the mod budget flowing again (wife is starting a quilting store with a partner, so no mod budget until the cash flow on the store is positive), I always intended to add a Golight remote control unit.
I have a buddy that has one of those go-lights(or similar) on his jon boat. It is very nice when running a river in the dark. It is hard to drive and use a hand-held at the same time. You can get a buddy to run the hand held but unless you ride together a lot they don't know where to shine where you need. With that go light he can hold the remote in his hand (it might velcro to the steering wheel?) and drive and shine at the same time.

I'm looking for more of a swivel cop spotlight but I thought that it would be more permanent, so I think that I'm going to try just a cb antenna mount and make a make shift shivel type thingy-ma-bob.
I'm going to go search the OS and see what that cop did.

I'm not sure why he has two spotlights because I'm pretty sure he doesn't have room for a passenger. So he's handling both at the same time? Seems like a little much to me.
I love the idea for it but I'm not a huge fan of making that permanent on my ride. My big a** hand held spotlight will have to do until I get the balls to do something like this.
