Engine wiring harness questions, 2007 TB, 4.2

Hey guys, I'm trying to plan a swap, pulling out my 4.2 and swapping in a 6.5 diesel from a silverado that I have as a complete parts truck, but was wondering how the electrical would be set up on this rig. is the ECM involved with the BCM? if I remove the entire stock 4.2 driveline, will the fun stuff inside such as the HVAC, power windows, and vehicle lighting still function properly? or are they interlaced so it wont run without the other? I'd like to be able to keep as many amenities as possible. suspension and everything else to accomodate for the swap is in progress of finding and upgrading.

the ECM/PCM is involved. With the 2002-2006 trucks the canbus was interchangeable on the I6 models. The v8 in 06 changed the canbus to the modern setup with serial data and in 07 it was changed in the I6 trucks.

But, I'm wondering, why can't he independently wire everything? If I put 12v to my window motors, will they not run regardless?
