Not as intense as that, but I have climbed a little. It is rather enjoyable. Too expensive a hobby for my blood, though.

But offroading isn't too expensive of a hobby?!?!? LOL

Point taken... I'm only allowed to have one "expensive" hobby, though. In other news, I HIGHLY recommend Hennesy Hammocks. I've been wanting one, for awhile, and finally picked one up. I got the ASYM Classic, I believe. Its the one that the was about $159.00. I like the Hennesy, because of the way you lay across the centerline, not perfectly inline with the mounting points. You're still bowed, a little, but nowhere near as bad as the ENOS. The fact it seals up, like a tent is nice also. They have two ways to enter. From the bottom, by velcro, or the side with a zipper. I chose Velcro, that way I don't have to worry about the zipper wearing out. I'm currently trying to design an under-quilt for it.

Thanks, been wanting one for a while. Not something that would do well on TECORE but most other trips it will be behind me, I still have my collection of tents for when I need them. Hitch comes in today for the Impala so I can haul it with my car and save gas when I only want a weekend in the mountains, or on a road trip, campgrounds are cheaper than hotels and this thing is comfy.

It's a Little Guy, 5 Wide model. 2014 clearance, sink with running water, 12v and 110w outlets, AC, 2 way fan in roof vent, LED lights. I'll get some better pics up soon.

Its basically the same idea that Rory and I have used with varying luck.

I have wrapped the base end around my open tailgate, and secured with a ratchet strap, which indexes into the two notches in the interior tailgate plastic. It works fine except for the odd shape it puts the base end of the tarp in, which makes the rest of the tarp droop into an odd shape that can't seem to be removed with guy lines. I like the PCV base pole, maybe I can do something with that and some quick fists to make a better system for the tailgate.

It is pretty standard idea but the poles were what I liked. I have a 10x10 pop=up canopy that takes as little room as most of these and I can drive off in the truck without taking it down. For $60 it is tough to beat imo.

I was looking at some of the Kelty stuff that attaches to a truck or suv yesterday and it is kinda nice if you want to turn the back of your rig into your tent and have some semi enclosed space to change or store stuff. Just cant justify spending the pennies on it.

Part of the portability option I like was seen back on Tecore III. Walmart screws you on a rainfly, we can improvise adapt and overcome even in the mountains!

Planning on more camping this summer and debating on dropping some dimes on a decent cooler. I have a couple of the 5 day ones, but a couple buddies swear by Yeti. I hate to spend that much and found this article http://www.fourwheeler.com/product-revi ... -shootout/ and it seems the winner is decently priced. Anyone have any experience with any of the tested brands or other ones similar?
