6 x 5 trailer hubs

Starting to put together plans for an off-road/ camping/ fishing trailer, problem is I would like to use a set of 16" tb wheels to match the tb. Can't find a hubset in our pattern though. I can find the 6x5.5 sets and adapters to go from our pattern to the 6x5.5 but would prefer not to purchase another set of adapters and wheels since I have spacers currently. Want to keep it uniform so I only have to carry one spare between the two.

Anyone have a source or know of one?

Custom fab may be the only way. You may have better luck getting a rear axle out of a junk TB and using that for the trailer. The 6x5 is so uncommon, while they did make millions of GMT360's the bastard lug pattern was never a favor for us. The full size 6x5.5 is standard amongst many vehicles, and trailers.

You could also get a hold of an old set of front wheel hubs and do some work to make them work as well.

I wonder if I could just weld some flanges on an axle tube and then just bolt some hubs to the end of it.....

Buy a set of 6x5.5 hubs and have them drilled at any local machine shop. Knock the studs out and put new holes in between the 6x5.5 holes for 6x5.

I've built many trailers and I use Front Wheel Bearings from the car or truck it's gonna be pulled with. Is easy to get a few more inches of clearance also if you weld them in Unimog style. I have also bolted the spare wheel to a spare bearing assembly so the spare tire spins . Easy clean greaseless fast bearing changes. If you do, you'll have to get CV stubshaft's from a salvage yard to hold the bearings together. But re-drilling standard hubs to 6x5 is the easiest and cheapest way. Rates are different everywhere, In WA I had a full set of 4Lug Subaru hubs drilled to 6 lug for 160$ They even welded shut the old holes and machined .001" off it to cut the rust and high spots off and made them look newish.
