Yeah, until you roll the truck and the tire makes a beeline straight for your head. Don't get hit in the head with a tire, tie it down.

This x2

I've heard a few stories from friends/family of vehicle rolls on and off the trail, and the lose stuff does a ton of damage to you and the interior, especially if you've got passengers.

Yeah, that's a good estimate. At latest 3. You can always leave from the campsite early.

SOB...

Just figured out this is the same weekend as the Indianapolis 4x4 Jamboree I attend every year. Was hoping to get new tires there since the show lends itself to good deals, plus get to see a bunch of people I don't see that often.

Need to do some deep thinking, cause I really want to attend both.

I had a buddy call me in a pintch last night... So I bought his XJ off him. Cool little truck. It has a winch, skids, 32's and stuff. Problem is that I was short on cash already. So... Unless I sell that thing Tecore isnt happening for me either.

Not always preventable and there are far more important things to spend money on than a weekend in the woods. :coffee2:

don't forget medical issues, house repairs after disasters, vet bills for your best buddies surgery ( pet insurance only goes so far or doesn't cover some things)

There's plenty of really solid reasons money could come up short even if you are prepared for most situations. Life happens.

Well, since you all put it that way......still think you as an individual should be important too, even if that means going out and spending time in the woods with friends is the break you need. I seem to recall Jason making that comment about last TECORE. Mike and I felt that way about KY over the July 4th break (we paid off that gas/credit bill right after without looking. Why ruin a good memory?) But that's the point, money is just money. Use it wisely in ways that you will not regret later.

Hope everything works out with the Jeep and you can still attend TECORE, Erik. It's worth it, IMHO.
