Well this came true. I'll be meeting you all at the campsite Friday night. Hopefully someone else there can take over the lead in getting up the mountain and maybe hitting a couple side trails earlier in the day. Any takers for the lead?
Sorry to have to do this, it's been a crazy-ass couple of weeks.
JamesDowning wrote:Which route do you want? I've done it two ways. Both normally begin with hitting some of the smaller routes off of 33. Then to get to meadow you can take the more difficult route that requires going east and then doubling back west from those trails, or the slightly easier and quicker route of going west and then south.
I guess I can send both eh.

Because of invasive insects, you're not supposed to move firewood more than 50 miles.
I'm probably going to bring some cut/split pallet pieces for kentling, but no real fire wood.
I'll bring my little top-handle chainsaw, so we can cut some of what's around, while we're up there. (and more importantly, clear any trees that have fallen across the trail.
ETA: Wait... Pallets of wood, or pallets to burn? If they haven't been outside for very long, I wouldn't feel bad having them cut up and in the back of the TB to burn. If you're talking about pallets of firewood, or pallets that have been outside for very long, and have any insects drilling in them, I'd say no, though.
