My first time out since going back up. Sucks that I broke my 4x4, but I had a blast doing it! Thanks to Mario for throwing this together. Thanks to everyone for helping me out when I went swimming! Here are some pics I managed to snap.

Jeff came down this hill but avoided the giant bolder by going to the right of it (LEFT in picture...)

I went over it and got hung up on my sliders/frame. Had to use the Hi-Lift to get the back tire off the ground enough to wedge something under it. Was able to slide down once that was done. I didn't snap any pics during this point, but I think our cameraman got something.

Great video! Whoever Nuno is, he did a good job!

The trucks all look great (that disco needs some better tires though), the rear bumper and fender flare job looks really sick on yours Mario!

Not trying to hijack, but also of note, after all that mud, I'm not seeing much of anything on the frame area where I mounted my trans cooler. Could be good news.

Sure looks like he's less serious than the rest of you. Did he have any traction problems, or does his traction control system deal with it as well as lockers?

He just got the truck... meatier tires are on his list, along with a mild lift. He manages to climb everything we climb with little to no traction issues with those tires, I can imagine something with more bite. His only concerns were the DEEP puddles that we went through, that's why he didn't take one the bigger puddle toward the end of the vid that Jeff and I went through... Bot didn't have his 4x4 working, so he opted out of that as well.

HAHA... we've been through that pit a few times while it was dry... so we knew it wasn't rutted or super deep...

That Discovery is really impressive as a stock vehicle. But it definitely wouldn't stand up to ours, as modified, when we really push the capabilities to the limit.

Looks like I have some decent flex with the rear sway bar disco'd and tahoe shocks. I didn't expect that.

We all know where that landed Irishboy. :gimp: I don't think I will ever take a puddle blind again after that. I would've joined the fun, but after wrecking my disconnect i didn't want to get stuck again. The edit does a great job of not showing the 20+ minutes it took to get me out of those ruts....twice! You can't tell, but I was resting on frame and my tires were free spinning in the water. I think that is what killed the disconnect. Picking up a used one on Friday to rebuild, so I'll be ready to go again within a couple of weeks. I am also going to rebuild mine, if the gears are intact, so I can have a spare ready to go.

How did they hook that strap to you? It looks like you were using the lower radiator bracket?! Also why was it doubled over? You make the strap much more stiff by doubling it over, and that only hurts you in a snatch situation.

James, we tried to use the frame as a recovery point in the front first, but that didn't work... we noticed it wasn't going to work before we put any real load on the strap. I swung back and pulled him out backwards using the hitch as the recovery point. He then went through the same puddle on a different line and was fine.

I have a length of 3/16" angle steel on the bottom of the frame rails. We tried to use that since I have no other front recovery at the moment. Quickly realizing it didn't work, we backed me out so I could pick a different line.

Mudwheelin: That is Mooseknuckle. He has the BDS suspension lift with 87 front springs and z71 rear springs. 2" Zone body lift. 265/70/17" ProComp Extreme M/Ts on his stock wheels.
