Rear Control Arms!

Yep they were then. But they were the extended ones that hit the upper control arm and actually dented them.

35's will rub the front of the wheelwell. I have seen that. Not sure .5 in was enough to fix that, but a full inch may be enough.

So my question is... should I offer 1/2" extended and 1" extended? Or just 1"?

I think just 1 inch. The 1/2 inch did not really put it far enough back. I dont see why someone would perfer 1/2 over 1, but there may be some that do.

I am gonna get some measurements off of my stock truck. I am gonna measure the distance from the tire to the front of the wheel well and from the tire to the rear of the wheel well.

Is there anybody with a TB with just suspension lift that would be willing to get those measurements for me? preferably somebody with close to stock or even stock tire size.

And is there anybody with a spacer and z71 spring in the rear that would be willing to do the same thing for me?

I would really appreciate this!

I have the BDS spacer and Z71 springs with stock tires on mine. I'll update in a couple hours with measurements.

If you can, measure from the lowest point on the wheel well directly horizontal to the tire.

I just measured my truck. There is a 3.5" gap in the front and rear of the rear wheel well from the tire to the lowest part of the well.

I get the exact same with BDS spacer and Z71 springs. Just to make sure there was no discrepancy between Trailblazers and Envoys, I measured 36" opening between the lowest points of the rear well also. I know most people report a little more tire rub in the front on Envoys, so there it is...

In this picture of your truck it looks like the tire is much closer to the front of the wheel well then the rear. Could just be an illusion...

Look on right side of arm by frame...




You can see just under the bar where there is a piece angling off the frame...It will hit the arm when drooped. Maybe a smaller diameter bar or ???


I think in this last one it may be resting on the metal coming off the frame...

Mine are stock 245/60R18 Goodyear Fortera HL, about 35k miles on them.

A smaller diameter tube would decrease the strength quite a bit.

Can that lip just be grinded off?

The stock arms taper in significantly more at the mount. I would think that grinding down the area below the mounting point would be better then a thinner arm. But is it required?

You're going to run into your swaybar endlink pretty soon after that frame piece. My stockers have small dents in them from repeated contact with the endlinks.
