Do these inverters have a remote lead that turns the unit on with ignition power, or do I need to run a solenoid if I want it on with the key/engine running?

All the units I have on the shelf are just wired direct with an on/off switch on the side of the unit itself. You could run a solenoid on the main lead. I'll check with the company to see if they have one that will. I'm sure they do, they build them for trailers, and Off-grid power systems...

I am lazy/absent minded. I have my current inverter wired to only run when the engine is running unless I flip an override switch. This prevents me from having an embarrassing moment of battery deadness.
