WAGAN AC/DC Power Inverters
It's very convenient to have AC power available in your vehicle. These high quality inverters turn 12v DC into 120v AC current. They are built tough and are excellent quality. To figure out your wattage requirements, you multiply the voltage X the amps listed on your 110V AC equipment to give you the wattage necessary to run them

Check them out here!! -- http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/wagan.htm

Wagan offers high quality electronics. They have a 1 yr warranty, an informative website at http://www.wagan.com and are easily contacted at their office in Hayward, CA for any assistance you might need. They offer free lifetime technical support with their products. We offer their full line so feel free to ask us if you would like info on any of the products from their site.

Do these inverters have a remote lead that turns the unit on with ignition power, or do I need to run a solenoid if I want it on with the key/engine running?

All the units I have on the shelf are just wired direct with an on/off switch on the side of the unit itself. You could run a solenoid on the main lead. I'll check with the company to see if they have one that will. I'm sure they do, they build them for trailers, and Off-grid power systems...

Why do you want a remote lead?.?

I am lazy/absent minded. I have my current inverter wired to only run when the engine is running unless I flip an override switch. This prevents me from having an embarrassing moment of battery deadness.
