Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Finally fixed the non-locking glass hatch!

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Like many others I have been staring at the non-locking rear hatch in anger, and occasionally opening it when the truck was locked to have the alarm go off.

I finally took out the panel, cleaned and lubricated all the connections. Got it working again, we will see for how long.

While I was in there, I lubricated every moving part I could find, and re-tapped some wires and checked to make sure everything was secure before buttoning back up.

Now, on to fix the drivers lower heated seat not working!

How'd you fix it? Just lubrication?

Nicely done Brandon.

Just lubrication. There was a YouTube video floating around of someone who tacked the same thing. Found it was just lubrication to be the problem. The mechanism is a bad design to say the least.

The lubrication needs to happen up top on the latch of the button itself (Remove interior panel to access).

Update: The latch is still working properly. So far, just lubrication is confirmed to fix the problem of the latch not locking when truck is locked.
