I got a thing in the mail from GM last week that talked about this, and said that they would pay 1/2 of the cost for the dealer to fix it...

Which means it will still cost less to replace it over a weekend at home.

I wonder though what the warranty will be if they replace the part though?

I would imagine it would be a standard parts warranty, same as buying the part outright. Probably a 60-90 day guarantee on workmanship.

Actually the fuel pump is about $350...and with the policy that GM has that states they'll pay for half...if you decide to go that route you'd only be paying $260
