Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Engine codes

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I had a couple codes tripped this week and I was wondering if anyone else has had a P1133 (manufacturer control fuel air metering.) My guess is its because I hacked the resonator off and I figured plenty of you guys have gotten rid of them too. Sorry if a search could find it but I'm on my phone. The other codes P0128 for the thermostat

No, P1133 is pretty localized to being just an O2 sensor only - upstream, in the exhaust manifold.

For tech questions, please always include your mileage and maintenance history.

If you've over 100K, you should normally swap O2 sensors at the same time you do your plugs. Use only Delco 41-103 plugs, and an AC Delco O2 sensor.

P0128 is also an easy one - 95% of the time it's the thermostat, although some owners get suckered into thinking it's just the sensor by parts store clerks who would be mechanics if they wanted to get their hands dirty.

Sitting at 98000 and some change. Got the andwer I was looking for. Knowing how rusty my front shocks were I'm definitely not looking forward to getting at that 02 sensor. I'll probably wait for warmer weather. Thanks for the insight.
