Left front hub bearing replaced under warranty by the shop that replaced it for me 11 months ago. It's SKF brand, and one of the ball bearings shattered, causing a hell of a racket. I managed to limp it to the shop Saturday morning, and they had it done in a couple of hours. Anyone else have issues with SKF bearings?

Skf is supposed to be a pretty good name, as far as I can tell. I'd trust them much as a timken bearing.

Thanks for that info, Trail X, I thought they were a reputable brand, from what I'd heard. Hopefully it was just a one-off lemon, and the new one, as well as the right, which was replaced at the same time last year, will last at least the full 3 year warranty.

I replaced another front wheel bearing today. I think that's number 7. I was thinking back to what a struggle the first one was, and how dirty I got. This one took about an hour and a half, wore my good jeans and a nice shirt and didn't get any grease or dirt on them, and didn't even break a sweat. Funny how things get easier with repetition.

Got my Rhino Rack tracks installed, just waiting on some spacers to get my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform 100% installed. I will post pictures tomorrow.
