It actually wasn't as bad as I thought. My goal was finding the oil leak and replace the front disconnect, and fortunately everything came off the pan with no issue. The only things you need to get out of the way are the disconnect, front diff (pull to the side), cross members (come out easy) and drop the steering rack (I was able to leave the tie rods connected).
But the layer of baked on oil grime makes me wonder if the previous owner didn't change the oil as often as they should have...
Either way, new oil pan on the way!
