Part of learning on your own is making mistakes...don't look at it as a failure...look at it as you found out how NOT to do a shock hoop... :coffee:

Jr - The Mounds open back up May 15... A buddy of mine is buying a four seater side-by-side and wants to head up there. Let me know if your TB will be ready for some fun in the spring mud soon! :poke:

Absolutely, it's ready now! I have been looking forward to a Mounds trip, I haven't been there yet other than to grab a map.

Changed the oil myself for the first time with this vehicle. Didn't realize I had to drop the sway bar to do it...should have waited a bit longer till my new bushings and links came in lol

I didn't ever have to drop my sway bar to change my oil. What was causing the problem?

Say what?? You don't have to take anything off except the drain plug to change oil... Except a skid if you have one?

Stock plastic skid, sway bar is...complicated...my oil filter is sitting just above my swaybar. Had to unbolt the mounts and push it over to the driver side and forward to get my oil filter off. Fount out how shot my bushings were and my links. I'll post pics of it tomorrow

That is a new one. the filter is awkward to swap, but nothing but skid plates are ever removed for me.

Got tired of my small mirrors so I upgraded to some Chevy tow mirrors. Really happy with the way they look!!

I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about after I run a few errands. It kinda baffled me as well considering everything I've seen on the YouTube vids show the filter no where near the sway bar. Idk if it's just a design specific to my model or what but it was a pain.

Here it is

Hard to tell but I can just barely get two fingers in there. I had to use a oil filter wrench to get it out because the people that did it before tightened it down so much I couldn't do it by hand

Here it is from underneath with plastic skid removed

You can sorta see the oil filter. It's black

Yep, that's the same as all of ours. You don't have to do anything with the sway bar. Did you take yours off to try and get some kinda tool up in there? Every time I change my oil, I just reach my hand up there and unscrew it after its cooled off overnight. Never even tried using a wrench or anything before.

I have a 5.3, so mine is way different lol, my filter is back by the crossmember, and way way shorter than that lol.

Mine was still warm when I did it so I had to get an end cap wrench up there to get it off. Are you even able to remove the swaybar without cutting it on these?

Depends on which swaybar you have. There are three different kinds, and only one is removable without cutting it apart (or lifting the engine).

So with the discos, how do you secure the swaybar?
