Oh! Do the porting & polishing, then tell us how that extra 40hp feels...

(Somehow I don't see gaining 40hp from this mod, but that's what some people have claimed)

OMG that was far worse than I imagined! Have to agree with the final comment -- any "mechanic" who thought that would be a good idea is not someone I would even trust a lawnmower engine to!!!

If you're going to port&polish, do it the old-fashioned way... take a dremmel and grind back the carbon lip. :)
(Hey it worked on my '74 Pontiac... these new engines aren't really any different, right? ;) )

I am in the process of debating which mods to do. There won't be many stock parts going back in. That said, it should be a Mild build. I don't want to sacrifice engine life for performance.

Been hearing some intermittent grinding noise from the back breaks. Pull the wheels off and up totally shot.

I'm not sure why it posted upside down... it posted from my phone. Never had it do that before.

I had called BFG, but all they could tell me was that most of the sizes will be available in November, but some will be staggered. I told them that wasn't helpful.

I got my son to help me take the 3rd row seats out of my EXT. It sure opens up the storage area! Now I can work on a design for cargo boxes in the rear, starting with a long one across the footwell of the 3rd row, to hold long items like a shovel, axe, and the like. Next will be a couple of boxes to take up the space from that one to the liftgate; I haven't decided if they will be accessed from the top, or the rear, or maybe both.

ETA: Went out to the garage after dinner and took the front air dam off the bottom of the bumper skin, for a little more clearance, both off road, and at those just-a-bit too tall curbs at the mall parking lot.

Are the bolts in a side panel?

I imagine it'll work until you start really bouncing the truck around off road, then the panel will probably pop loose or the screws will rip out of the panel.

Cleaned the TB and MAF. I also replaced a vacuum cap that may have been leaking.
