Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Back home safe. 4 hours wrenching for two of us. 6 hours driving. No vandalism. Being very careful and safe on sand. 85 degrees. Went through a gallon of water each. Pics later. Opted to replace ball joint in place, not the whole lca.

You won't believe it, but it broke before it fell apart! The broken stud stayed in the cup, with about 1/8" engagement, until I went zero - G on that tire for an instant. Then it popped out. Can tell from the wear on the broken bits.

I just could not live in that state, but would like to wheel sometime. Just need to hit the casino...but my big $11.32 jackpot this weekend was later lost.

Drew, was there any reason you didn't put a wing on the other side?

That would be a slight oversight on my part to do that. I had been looking at the mdb skids as a reference when making my template from the plastic deflector.

Replaced the a/c pulley bearing.

I'm got so tired of squeezing the fan shroud by the radiator output tube that I decided to cut a clearance hole in the shroud and cover it up with a plate. Maybe it will save me some curse words next time.

Hooked up the battery charger and started the old girl up, first I've touched my rig in 6 weeks. Power steering is gone too, time to start ordering parts.

NYC doesn't have paved roads. They have a bunch of potholes holding hands.
