How do you like them so far? Been debating on switching out my HID's since my brother in law wants them

So far I like them, I need to do some fine adjustments. I probably should have gotten the high beams as well.

Broke ball joint 9 miles from pavement. 12 miles from cell coverage. Was just a day trip, so I left relevant spares at home, 2 hours away. Idiot. At least I wasn't alone, my company owner and friend for 40 years was with me. Drove home in his built wrangler, and I'll drive back with my brother and spares Sunday. First time I had to abandon the Roadiemobile on the trail. More news and pics tomorrow.

I'm cowering in shame. I felt like I was abandoning a horse or a loyal dog with a broken leg by the side of the trail to be eaten by coyotes or vultures. I had 90% of the spares I usually carry, but I had recently taken everything out of the rear storage drawers, and I repacked them with less than 100% thought. What ended up staying behind was my spare LCAs, ball joint, ball joint press, and jack stands. There are plenty of jack stand sized rocks out there, but recent rains must have washed away all the ball joints that you can usually harvest like apples in the desert.

I actually *did* get some fortune when I stopped to pick up about the 5th beer can in the trail, and found instead of a Silver Bullet glittering in the sun, it was a Smittybilt clevis WITH the pin a foot away! I lost one years ago off my rear receiver, and started ty-wrapping the pins like safety wire so they didn't vibrate out.

Anyway, got to go pack the Jeep and get back out there - DARN time change costing me an hour sleep.

If you zoom in Mike you can see the LCA didn't break, but rather the lower ball joint did. I thought the LCA broke too on first glance but the wheel is just at an odd angle that makes it apear that the LCA broke.

Sorry to hear Bill about the mishap. Hopefully everything works out quickly.

Rotated my tires, found my repair manual that i didn't know was missing until I found it where it shouldn't be. And spent the morning diagnosing and repairing the "check brake" light in our Jeep. Turned out to be caused by an almost empty master cylinder from a leaking wheel cylinder. New wheel cylinder, new rear shoes, and a 4 corner bleed and it is good to go.
