I haven't seen this before, so I split the posts out into its own topic. Here's a quote from the ebay listing about what they changed to make it "better than OEM".

I added both to my Watch List. MUCH less expensive than the unit I went with. It also looks better IMO. If I stumble into some cash I could pick one up as a back up. Nice find Kyle!

Would anyone recommened this brand? I need a new disconect and like the price of this one a lot but I'm not sure if I should trust an ebay brand. Jrgunn5150 I see youre running this, hows quality compared to a brand like Dorman? Also what kind of warranty does this have? Thanks

I have nothing to compare it to, it's the only one I've used lol. It was well put together, used good hardware, and was well machined. It does, ACTUALLY have the AWD sleeve in it, since I saw someone, maybe DirtyBacon, post that his aftermarket one that was supposed to be an AWD sleeve, still had the splined disconnect in it.
All I can say is, mine has been in since July, has run about 15,000 miles, has been wheeling regularly, and is functioning properly currently.
Thanks to El Nino, I haven't had much snow to really work it out, but I would recommend the brand, and have several times, to anyone.

Might of been touched upon already but is there any benefit of the awd disconnects over the 4wd disconnects? Or vice versa? Need to replace my disconnect soon, but was wondering if one was better than the other. Other than the price...

The slug vs moving parts. Discussed many times. May lose a minimal mpg but you do not have any failure risk of a shift fork.

Ahh, so the 4wd just has a little better mpg, but the awd last longer. Thankyou. Might be another dumb question, but if I were to install the awd would I still be able to switch between 2 and 4wd or Is it just in awd all the time.
