Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I did some research online and found that those who also pulled this code in their trailblazers said it had to do with the Steering Wheel Position Sensor. Now maybe I'm just having a brain fart day, but can someone NICELY explain to me how the position of the steering wheel has anything to do with the traction control system?

Maybe they just ran out of lights to put on the dash?

IIRC it has to do with aiding in the control of a slide if you are going around a corner or going sideways.

That's pretty much it, it uses the input from the sensor to figure out which way the driver wants the car to go, and uses that in combination of about 9-10 other sensors throughout the car to calculate which wheel needs to be slowed down, by how much throttle, and also by actuating the brakes via it's own controller, separate from abs or the brake pedal, to control a slide, if you have a chance, take the car to a slippery surface and try making turns, it will control the majority of the car through it, although it does have limitations, it may take the turn wider, or in a choppy manner, and may not even let you turn. It's saved my bacon a few times from when I hit unexpected patches of ice or large puddles, and the car started sliding.

My light flashes occasionally, the previous owner took it in for the same problem, so, could just be mine is bad again, or, I have a loose connection somewhere, I did find that even with the light on, it still functioned like it normally would.
