New Trailblazer for U.S.A. market?

So the other day I seen a picture of the new Chevrolet Traverse that is scheduled to hit. It really looks like the Trailblazer from other markets. (Australia) and such. I'm wondering 1st are they just ditching the old Traverse platform and slapping the emblem on a Trailblazer? From a marketing point Having a Trailblazer that can seat 7 vs a Traverse that is almost the same that seats 8 (possibly) would not make good marketing Maybe I am wrong. I did find out that the new Traverse will be front wheel drive with AWD as a option. The Trailblazer in other markets is standard rear wheel drive with optional 4wd and AWD. No, much like the current Traverse/Acadia/Enclave on the Lambda platform, the new 2017 Acadia and new 2018 Traverse/Enclave are together on an all new platform (which the Acadia is already out in production). The Lambdas and new versions are all still FWD unibody architectures. The Trailblazer is built off of a truck chassis (colorado sized) so it's a true body on frame like our vintage.

I had seen something about chassis but I thought it was called C1? the Lambda platform is this years last run. From what I had seen it looks like the C1 platform is the same as the Cadillac XT5. In that case it has nothing to do with the Currant Trailblazer of today. Just a left field idea but I wonder if GM ever experimented with the new ZR2 Colorado suspension and fitted it to the Trailblazer. There was mention that the ZR2 had front and rear electronic locking diffs much like the H2

I think its called the Colorado 7 in Australia also they have the 2.8? duramax. i wish they would bring it here.

Looked around for some concepts. I did hear they are planning on building the ZR2 Colorado here in the U.S.

Yes the Diesel Colorado is here, I took one for a test drive. Lots of torque off the line in first gear but seems to fall down after that. Probably torque management. As for mods Dirt king makes a long travel kit, BDS and Zone have lift kits. (Not sure if there for the diesel) Price is a bit steep, you could get a full size 1/2 ton for 45K

That's really exciting! I won't be buying one, because I'm sure they'll be $50k, but 2" lift, 3.5" wider track, E-lockers front and rear, real offroad dampers, tube rock rails, etc.. Especially with the diesel, this should be a sweet expo rig!

Yeah I would love to have one, I'd sell the TB, but can't justify another car payment. Time to convince the wife she doesn't need her Acadia Denali, but needs a ZR2 instead!!
