If you're more concerned about hiding your frame than the ability to repel rocks, you might like the westin sport tubes which are stainless and fit tight to the body. I have a set on my yukon. I imagine they would protect the rocker sheetmetal from a boulder, but would probably get dented if they had to support the full weight.
