Snorkel Completed.

I went ahead and just did it i made a snorkel for my 2002 TB. The parts are all parts i got from work. The hardest part was trying to find what i wanted for a air box. I just happend to find a air box that was used on an old boiler that isnt made anymore. So i got a new air filter for it and just went at it. Here ya go for pictures. This mod was to ensure that the ride i will be attending this weekend is possible due to the 3ft pond in the middle of the run will not stop me.( Please keep rude comments to your self)

Nice work, looks good in my opinion. Hope everything works well on your trip. You might should consider putting some type of screen over the air inlet.

I would cut the pipe going up the A pillar down so the top of the inlet is just below the roof line. Don't want to snag it on a limb.

Also see about an actual ram head for the top. You're going to collect water with the slight upturn your exit gives. Maybe try heating up the pipe as well and bending it to conform to the A pillar line as well. I mentioned some of this on Facebook but dunno if you saw it.

Definitely reroute your breather lines or you'll be changing all your fluids after your first romp through water.

I did see that Donny yea I'm gonna cut it down a lil and eventually get a ram head as far as the vent tubes I didnt even think of that I'll have to do that today.

Some people turn their intake around so it's facing backwards so you won't collect rain.

Looks better than I expected a PVC pipe to look. Congrats!

A friend and I were talking about this, looking at these pictures... I'd like to hear if you have issues with excessive shift cycling on hills, and a general "sluggish" feeling with this... I'd also like to hear how much your gas mileage goes down from it...

I have a nother 90 iput on when it is raining or if I have to drive in the rain it looks silly but keeps the rain out. The washer is still up in the air in not sure what to do with that. I haven't taken it for a drive yet to see the power diffrence or the gas diffrence we will see this weekend tho. Thanks also.

just from what i can tell,it looks like your using multiple pieces of PVC?

not trying to knock,just wanna make a suggestion
others suggested heating it and bending it to conform to the A pillar better,you could also consider taking one piece and heat bending it to the proper lines,do help avoid the bubba'd look a multiple piece setup gives.
fill the tube up with sand before heating if you decide to do anything,without it you run the risk of putting in a kink.

It worked well no issues on the ride last weekend. Haven't noticed a difference in any thing.

i know about him,but i never knew he had finished it,like the other one or two that have been around for awhile that arent finished/functional to my knowledge.

i always think home made mods(or grassroots) are better than just buying from the internet
