Recon 3 piece cab lights...

I picked up a Recon 3 piece cab light set from Craigslist for $35... Unfortuneately, the bulbs were all shot and I didn't know until I got them home to test. So I opted to wire everything up and install them for now. I intend on smoking out the lenses anyway, so they will be coming off for that as well as new bulbs. Going with amber LED 194 bulbs...

I've always thought the TB would look bad ass with some cab lights, so I was excited when I found this kit for so cheap.

Looks good! I wanted to try and find the NorthFace edition roofrail lights and fab up something like that. Im just not to comfortable with the idea of drilling through the roof with the risk of leakage from snow / rain. Although looks great!

the recon light i think would look better with the older style 5 separate lights.. .not to crazy bout this mod... but still looks alright...

Also looks like the end lights could have been spaced out a bit further... I figure there's a reason you didn't though... support structure or something?

I could have put the side lights a little further out. That would put them in line with the roof rails. There is a bit of a bump along that line where they could have gone. Had nothing to do with support structure... I just prefered the look of them not as close to the ends.

Looks bad ass. I may have to borrow that idea. How did you wire it up? A walk through would be great.

I used a tap-a-fuse from the rear fuse box to activate a relay which is drawing power from the (+) pole at the rear fuse box. I used the fuse for the trailer parking lights. I ran the feed from the relay along the driver door jam and up the dash/pillar into the headliner area. I connected the (+) from each light to this feed. I tapped a ground that was already ran from factory up in the headliner. Pretty straightforward install if you have any wiring experience....

Already have my amber LEDs on order... Once I get those, I will tint the lenses a little and put the new bulbs in. I will also be using the same bulbs in my mirror blinkers, as they do not match the front lights too well.

I think once you match all the bulbs, it will look great. Also those LEDs are cool lights.

How did you seal em up? Any special sealant? Ever leak?

I would assume with ample silicone it was a non issue. I used it to seal up the wiring for the roof lights. Never seen an issue over the past year.
